delete your account
you can remove your Chestnut account and budget data anytime. deletion is permanent — envelopes, transactions, and calendar dates on your account are erased and cannot be restored.
in the app
- open chestnut on your iPhone and Android
- go to settings (gear icon)
- under account, tap delete account
- confirm when prompted
if you use cloud sync, your budget data is removed from our servers. you will be signed out when deletion finishes.
by email
cannot open the app or need help? email us from the address tied to your account and ask to delete it. we will verify ownership and process your request.

subscriptions
deleting your account does not cancel an apple subscription. manage or cancel your plan in settings → apple id → subscriptions on your device, or from settings → support & plan in the app before you delete.
